15th International Symposium on Marek’s Disease and Avian Herpesviruses
Reported by Yoshinosuke Motai (PhD student)
From June 29 to July 2, 2026, I participated in the 15th International Symposium on Marek’s Disease and Avian Herpesviruses (MDAH2026), held in Namur, Belgium, together with Dr. Murata.
At this symposium, I had the opportunity to give an oral presentation on our research for Marek’s disease virus. Following my presentation, I received a wide range of questions and comments and had in valuable discussions about our work.
This was my second time attending the MDAH. I was delighted to reunite with researchers whom I had met at the previous meeting and to establish new connections with many other scientists. I hope that the discussions and relationships developed at this meeting will lead to future research collaborations.
At the last of the symposium, Dr. Murata introduced the 16th International Symposium on Marek’s Disease and Avian Herpesviruses, which is scheduled to be held in Japan in 2028. We look forward to welcoming the MDAH community to Japan and meeting everyone again.
Building on the knowledge, feedback, and connections gained through this symposium, I will continue to advance my research and contribute to the further development of Marek’s disease virus research.
