The following paper, which summarizes the results of a veterinarian-led clinical trial using a canine PD-L1 chimeric antibody, received the Journal of Veterinary Medical Science Outstanding Paper Award (2025) and was honored at the 169th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Veterinary Science (Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University) held on September 9, 2026. This study is the result of a collaborative effort between Azabu University, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Rakuno Gakuen University, Tohoku University, North Lab, and Fuso Pharmaceutical Industries. The results of this veterinarian-led clinical trial, conducted under the challenging conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, were highly praised by the Journal of Veterinary Medical Science (JVMS), leading to this award.
