11月14日に、カリフォルニア大学デービス校の泉屋 吉宏 先生をお迎えし、当教室で特別セミナーを開催いたしました。
今回のセミナーでは、泉屋先生が開発されたカポジ肉腫関連ヘルペスウイルスに対するペプチド治療薬や、マレック病ウイルスに関する幅広いお話を伺うことができました。非常に興味深い内容で、質疑応答の際には活発なディスカッションが行われ、とても有意義な時間となりました。
また、セミナー後の懇親会では、将来の進路や研究に関するご相談にも親身にお応えいただき、とても参考になりました。

On November 14th, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Yoshihiro Izumiya from the University of California, Davis, to our laboratory for a special seminar.
During the seminar, Prof. Izumiya shared his research on the development of peptide therapeutics targeting Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus, as well as his findings on Marek’s disease virus. The seminar was incredibly insightful, and the Q&A session that followed led to lively discussions, making it a highly valuable experience.
Following the seminar, we held a social gathering where Professor Izumiya generously offered advice on future career paths and research projects. It was an invaluable opportunity for all of us, providing fresh inspiration and motivation for our own research endeavors.
